The Secondary Marketing Financial Analyst position main responsibilities are to ensure that the Secondary Marketing Department meets or exceeds the expected response times of lock/change requested from sales force.The Secondary Hedge position is maintained while limiting risk utilizing a variety of loan sale executions and for providing consistency in communication.
Functions and Responsibilities
60% - Pipeline Analysis
- Manage the lock desk by assisting with lock request and pricing scenarios.
- Monitor locked loan pipeline (extensions, expirations, relocks, etc.) and take appropriate actions
- Utilizing mortgage backed security knowledge to analyze best execution models on loan sales and make independent decision to the timing of commitments.
- Assist Mortgage Trader in obtaining competitive MBS TBA trade bids from broker dealers.
- Responsible for analyzing results from running risk management system to needed produce daily mark to market reports.
- Loan registrations, best effort rate locks and investor confirmations.
- Assist in the execution loan sales and determination of appropriate coverage levels
- Assist Mortgage trader to execute hedge and loan sale trades.
- Programming LOS and secondary systems with any product and pricing updates. Maintain pricing engine rules and overlay matrix/spreadsheet. Monitor changes and pricing model updates for accuracy.
- Reporting out to Sr. Management loan sale results and other stats
- Manage monthly/quarterly and annual investor certifications
- Ad hoc reporting and data requests
- Daily data queries to endure loan data integrity
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 2-5 years’ Secondary marketing department experience required
- Market pricing and hedge coverage knowledge
- Strong analytical and negotiating skills
- Intermediate to advanced level with MS Excel and Access skills
- Intermediate SQL program
- BA College degree required - Finance
