Production Tech – Secondary Operator

JOB SUMMARY

The Secondary Operator will operate secondary spring machines such as kick press, hydraulic press, pneumatic press, unibender and others. The Secondary Operator will also do assembly work.

First shift works: 5:25am - 2:05 pm Monday-Friday.

Second shift works: 1:50 pm – 12:25am Monday-Thursday.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Monitor machine operations and stop if a problem occurs.
• Inspects and measures work pieces to ensure specifications are met.
• Removes finished work pieces from machine and sets aside defective pieces.
• Capable of reading and completing work orders.
• Other tasks as requested

SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Ability to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Capability of working from verbal instructions.
• Engage in a team environment to resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently on primary responsibilities.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the use of calipers, micrometers and load test equipment.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
