YOUR ROLE
Polaris is seeking two (2) qualified and capable Security Agent/Concierges in the NYC area, to provide physical security in the lobby of a Class A corporate office. In your role, you would protect the office’s main lobby, maintaining access control, addressing potential security concerns as they arise, and interfacing with the Client’s employees as they traffic through the building.
In this role, you would be responsible for all of the following:
- Securing the site lobby, and ensuring the safety of site employees and visitors.
- Investigating suspicious individuals or behaviors, and responding to any potential threats in a deescalating manner.
- Intervening in any circumstances that threaten onsite security.
- Maintaining access control, ensuring that only authorized persons enter the building.
- Interfacing professionally with site employees and visitors.
This position is full-time, and two (2) Agents are needed. One (1) Security Agent/Concierge would be stationed in the Client’s lobby between 7AM and 3PM, while another between 9AM and 5PM. Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges from $33 to $38 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must hold security/guarding licensure in New York, NY. Applicants should have experience in corporate security. Experience in a customer service role, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Polaris similarly prefers that applicants hold a college degree and CPR certification, though these are not required.
