Job description

General: The primary purpose of this job is to protect the product stored in the distribution center by patrolling the building and grounds, and by monitoring employees and visitors entering and leaving the building. In addition, general maintenance of the building is required as needed.

Essential Job Functions: The primary job functions, as assigned by the supervisor, are as follows:

• Monitor all employees entering and leaving the building through metal detector
• Monitor security cameras
• Watch all visitors who enter the building and escort them to their appointment
• Check all fire extinguishers once a month
• General maintenance of building
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical maintenance
• Perform periodic and preventative maintenance
• Requires continuous use of gross motor skills, work in difficult sometimes confined spaces, pushes/pulls or utilizes manual and bi-manual dexterity
• Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to walk/stand/sit for prolonged periods of time
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Verifiable experience in security and maintenance related work fields.
• Skills: Customer service, courteous demeanor
• Knowledge/Technology/Tools: Familiarity with modern warehouse practices and methods. Must have valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
