Oculus Systems Security is hiring Security Guards and Security Officers in Denver and surrounding markets. Oculus Systems Security has revolutionized the security and parking industry with our proactive, full spectrum approach. Our wide array of services closes the gap between technology and physical security. We believe in making our communities safer through conjoined efforts of local law enforcement and clients we service. Salary range: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour -Pay is dependent upon licenses/certifications, education, experience, etc. Oculus Systems does have a referral program; if a referred employee lasts for more than 6 months you will receive a bonus! We offer on-call bonuses as well. Requirements needed to apply for Security Guard /Officer openings:

• Be able to pass a background check, and random drug tests.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles. (Must be able to pass all Oculus/NRA firearm training/qualifications to obtain armed endorsement/become authorized to carry a firearm, and provide your own body armor, duty belt, firearm, and level 3 holster.)

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have (or be capable of obtaining within 30 days of hire) Denver Security Guard License.
• People with a strong background Law enforcement, Military, and Security are strongly encouraged to apply. Pay depends on experience.

Job Functions/Responsibilities of the Security Guard/Officer:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
• Observe, report, and delegate to the appropriate parties as necessary.
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
• Digitally report in detail any and all observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses, etc.

• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
• Come to work prepared for shift.
• Stop, remove yourself from the area of threat, and dial 911 for emergency situations. - We are an observe and report courtesy patrol service with a focus on customer service.
• Maintain constant communication with Oculus supervisors, clients, and the employees by keeping all parties in the assigned area up to date on current policies and company rules.
• Locking buildings, businesses and other designated areas per the clients needs.
• Must be proficient in de-escalating techniques, self-defense tactics, etc.
• Must be able to keep a positive attitude at all times while in uniform and on job sites.
• Adhere to all company policies, service, and operating standards.
• The ability to stand/walk for long periods, work in any weather, and sit, bend, and lift to 40 pounds, if not more, depending on the situation.
• Ability to work any and all shifts, Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays. (Dependent on the needs of the clients.). We can work with most employee schedules.
• Must be available a majority of the week and ready to work with the potential of little advanced schedule notice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have a reliable, personal vehicle. (Public transportation does not access all sites, as needed for some of these positions.)
• Must provide 3 personal, and 3 professional references including your last employer.
• Must be stress resistant in any and all situations and circumstances. Always conduct yourself with integrity, professionalism, ambition, and poses a high level of and willingness to communicate.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
