REQUIREMENTS:
- High school grad or equivalent, minimum of one year security experience or criminal justice education, etc.
- Healthcare experience a plus
- Competent in computer programs especially Word
- Good communication - verbal & written skills
- Responds to emergency situations, makes safety rounds
- Respectful, polite, and approachable
- Trustworthy character, flexible, and responsible
JOB DUTIES:
- Tours all campus facilities
- Answers phones and directs visitors
- Assists during emergencies
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of emergency systems and communication systems.
- Inspect buildings, parking lots, grounds, fire lanes and emergency exit for compliance with safety standards and documents findings.
- Follow policies and procedures, maintaining compliance of required responsibilities.
- Maintains integrity and displays proper ethics in this role.
- Conducts foot patrols of buildings and surrounding grounds. Conducts surveillance of the property both inside and out.
- Watches for trespassing, theft, or damage to property or injury to individuals. This is done by screening visitors, notifying designated personnel of emergencies, writing reports. In cases of emergencies, assists in the safe and swift evacuation of residents.
