Location: Reno, Nevada

About the Role

Sitemetric seeks a bar-raising Security Officer to help keep our customers’ construction projects safe, secure, and running on time. You will oversee critical aspects of customer projects.

Key Responsibilities

This position works directly with the Security Director.

Core responsibilities include:

1) Walk the entire site checking windows, doors, locks, loading docks, illegally parked vehicles, and other locations

2) Lock and unlock facilities, turn lights and heating/cooling systems on and off, close windows, conduct drive-by security checks, provide after-hours security escorts, and respond to alarms

3) Ensure office spaces/trailers are secure, file cabinets are locked, and appliances are turned off

4) Check fuse boxes, safes, fire and smoke detectors, pipes for breaks, water leaks or other abnormalities

5) They also deter trespassers on site. Should the need arise, patrol personnel can coordinate with local law enforcement as they will observe and report

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • At least 5 years (2,000 hours each year, totaling 10,000 hours) experience as a private patrol officer, or the equivalent thereof (i.e., military, police, site security)
  • Ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Detail orientation and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in dynamic work environment
  • Currently resides in Nevada
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be a citizen of the United States or lawfully entitled to remain and work in the United States
  • Undergo a criminal history background check

PREFERRED

  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to solve complex challenges within and outside assigned responsibilities
  • Proactive approach to taking on more responsibility to serve the customer and Sitemetric team members
  • Passing of The Private Patrolman Exam
