Security Officer (Maryland)

Shasthra USA Inc / SSI Protection is currently recruiting Security Officers for our Maryland locations, as set out below. SSI Protection is a female minority owned, family business, that has been working to provide safety in the tri-state area for more than 10 years.

Work: Static and patrol within residential/commercial areas, including responding to calls for service, incidents, and emergencies.

Nature of Work: Residential / Apartments

To be an SSI Officer requires:

- Good character, integrity, and vigilance

- A basic understanding of the law, both civil and criminal

Pre-requisites candidates must have:

- High school diploma or GED

- Fluency in the English language

- Valid Driver’s License or State ID

- Ability to use and operate:

1) Computer

2) Smart Phone

3) Police-band Radio

- Be physically able to perform all security and emergency duties, in all weather conditions, without accommodation, due to the emergency nature of the work.

- Must possess or be able to obtain non-lethal force equipment, such as OC, baton, handcuffs, duty belt, etc. (Vests, outer or inner, are highly recommended).

Interview:

- If selected, the interview will be held at our main HQ in Alexandria, VA.

- Once an interview time and date are confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation for the interview along with the complete address of the headquarters.

Start: Upon hire, you will be directed to a supervisor, or a supervisor will contact you to inform you of your post/shift and when training begins.

For the right candidate, we assist in acquiring the necessary licenses for the specific location they are assigned to.
- Security Officer (Unarmed) (DC, MD, and VA)
- Special Police Officer (Unarmed/Armed) (DC)

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift

• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Silver Spring, MD 20901: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Security Officer: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• MD Guard Card (Preferred)
