Denali Universal Services is seeking a Security Operations Officer to join the Security team at Santos on the North Slope. This Officer receives and triages requests for service and dispatches routine and emergency calls to the appropriate resources in the field. This a uniformed Security Officer position, and incumbents are required to be firearms licensed, trained & qualified.

This is technical position is a key contributor to the security operations team in the event of a crisis/emergency situation that would threaten the safe and secure business operations. This could include, but is not limited to: natural disasters, equipment malfunction, oil spill(s), workplace violence, facility emergencies, fire, and issues with serious injury or illness.

The position is located in a remote camp on the North Slope of Alaska with a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts. Lodging, meals and transportation between the jobsite and Anchorage are covered by the company. This is an hourly position that earns overtime. Estimated annual pay starts at $63,000.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Prior work experience in private security, military service, law enforcement or a related field
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel, external agencies, and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Armed Security Guard License (State of Alaska) or ability to obtain
• Strong decision making and incident/event management skills
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Maturity of judgement, quick thinking and team player
• Must be able to pass the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation and post-offer physical/fitness for duty evaluation (if applicable for the position).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of security services and developing Security Post Orders in the private sector
• EMT or ETT certification
