RMC is seeking a detailed oriented Security Specialist to support our customer at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Indian Head. This position will provide program management, administrative, and coordination support for the command’s security responsibilities, performing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative duties. Tasking will include:

• Transmitting, transferring, reproducing, downgrading, and destroying classified material.
• Supporting inventories of classified materials and insuring classified documents are properly marked and safeguarded.
• Assisting with initial and periodic investigations, including fingerprinting and in-processing of new employees.
• Processing expected visitor forms, verifying vetting forms to submit for approval, issuing visitor passes, and sending visit requests using DISS.
• Verifying clearances in DISS, processing badge paperwork, and issuing badges.
• Performing day-to day-office duties in support of the security office.

Requirements

• An Associate’s Degree with four (4) years of relevant experience required, or a High School diploma or GED equivalent plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• The candidate will be handling secure information, so a clear understanding of Operations Security (OPSEC) is a must.
• The candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of MS Office, and a willingness to learn other duties as assigned.
