Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Technician to join our team!

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of a SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed
• Prepare reports of tests results and assessments of key electronic systems to ensure efficient operations
• Identify defects with various components and find suitable replacements
• Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, including controls, power supplies, gauges, and sensors
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and multi-meters
• Pull and terminate low voltage signal and network cables
• Install, fusion-splice, and terminate fiber optic cable
• Read and understand installation design plans, schematics, and manufacturers’ literature for electrical and electronic components

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience
• At least two years in electronics technology
• Experience with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), intrusion detection systems (IDS, automated access control systems (ACS) and basis networking
• Must be or able to achieve Honeywell – Vindicator certification or have been within the last year and can recertify.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Knowledge with Buried Line Sensors (BLS), Fiber Optic Sensor Systems (FOSS) is a plus.
