Job Summary

We are open to full-time candidates who are willing to travel to different locations across the state of Colorado as needed.

As a Senior Access Control Field Engineer you will report to the Colorado Operations Manager and will be an early and crucial member of our growing operations team. You will be responsible for:

  • Executing all phases of the installation and programming of access control and intrusion systemsInstalling low voltage wire
  • Installing and terminating end devices such as card/badge readers, door strikes, mag locks, request-to-exit buttons, etc
  • Programming access control systems such as ButterflyMX, ICT, alarm.com, etc
  • Ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget
  • Coordinating with clients to install systems on-site
  • Oversee and lead job site organization verifying the team has the necessary equipment to complete the installation - delegating tasks, clarifying instructions, maintaining a safe, neat, and tidy work environment
  • Analyze blueprints, floor plans, schematics, drawings, and cut sheets to connect wiring and equipment safely and accurately
  • Test and troubleshoot any issues and proactively identify solutions
  • Consistently and accurately update customer records and provide detailed project notes
  • Create a daily punch list of tasks that need to be completed and consistently communicate overall progress with the management team.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with commercial low voltage and access control systems
  • Advanced access control systems troubleshooting skills
  • Strong Computer skills and ability to install and setup basic networking/data systems
  • Working knowledge of multi-room systems and setup
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Working knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, digital analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices
  • Experience installing and programming electronic security devices and control panels a plus
