Full Time - $50,000 to $60,000 per year

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage small projects, help improve and develop processes, and assist in financial reporting. About the Company:
The Hinton Oil Group, with activities in wholesale sales and distribution of petroleum products, trucking and delivery of environmental services, has been successful for over 50 years and currently employees approximately 85 individuals in Georgia and Florida. Strategic plans will generate growth both organically and through acquisition in Georgia, Florida, and surrounding states.
Position Overview:
- Provide financial support to senior level accounting staff
- Prepare and review various account reconciliations
- Understand all areas of accounting
- Completes special projects as assigned to support the overall success of the department.
- Continuously demonstrates a drive to start and complete personal projects.
- Consistently performs duties with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely
- Attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting
- Proficiency using Excel
Credentials/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or 5+ years of previous accounting experience
- Experience offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
