Responsibilities:
OOMC is recruiting for a
Senior Accounting Analyst to join our accounting and finance team in Iselin, NJ. We are looking for a motivated individual who works independently, takes care and pride in their work, and enjoys the opportunity to make improvements. The role will start with month end close transactions, schedule reconciliations, financial statement support, and fixed assets accounting, and will have the opportunity to grow into additional functions and interface with all areas within the department.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Integral contributor to the preparation of the annual budget plan and quarterly reforecasts.
- Analyzes actual vs. budget variances and provides detailed and actionable explanations.
- Provides financial and operational support for financial system integrations and conversions.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Collaborates with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment to vendors
- Develops, maintains and monitors compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Identifies efficiencies and drives process improvements by leveraging technology.
- Prepares state and local sales & use tax filings.
- Supports purchasing, inventory management and operations with business intelligence and analytics.
- Assist in the annual audit process including gathering necessary supporting documents
- Assist in 1099 process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
- Must have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA is a plus
- Experience supporting financial statements and schedules highly preferred
- Experience working with NetSuite or another ERP system a major plus
- Experience working with QuickBooks a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including V-lookups, pivot tables, and analyzing large data sets
- Ability to build strong, positive working relationships
