Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will work directly with the Controller and the management team as a strategic resource, by providing financial reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis. In this role, the Senior Accountant will also support the monthly close, annual budget development, process improvement initiatives and the leveraging of technology to support financial reporting activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly, including sub-ledgers to general ledger
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedule
• Familiar with percentage of completion revenue recognition entry (WIP)
• Review P&L for proper coding of expenses, by department and region
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget
• Prepare financial reports and variance analysis
• Management of credit card expense software
• Assist with annual financial audit preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Construction or telecom industry experience a plus, but not required
• Skilled in utilizing Excel and ERPs, such as Sage Intacct
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3+ years of experience working in an accounting role
