Yogurtland Franchising Inc is seeking to fill the role of Senior Accountant. This position will support multiple roles for the company. This position is located in Farmers Branch, TX. The ideal candidate should have strong US GAAP knowledge, good knowledge of finance and accounting for manufacturing business environment, mindset of process improvement and exceptional and excellent teamwork skills to work with the accounting team and other departments. Manufacturing experience is a plus, not required. The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager.
Position Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Responsible for month end closing for the manufacturing business side of the company
- Create customer invoices and process vendor bills using SAGE100 and prepare journal entries for inventory, COGS and SG&A expenses
- Manage A/P payment using ACH and check generation process. Treasury duties include bank reconciliation and cash forecast.
- Prepare assigned general ledger account reconciliations periodically.
- Perform physical inventory counting and prepare inventory adjustment journal entries
- Prepare various management reports: product mix profitability and cost analysis reports
- Maintain all inter-company and intra-company accounts and ensure all accounts are in-balance
- Update and maintain depreciation and amortization schedule and year end adjustment entries.
- Prepare and respond to requests for W-9 for new vendors and 1099 reporting
- Complete/support other projects and assignments as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 3 years’ corporate accounting experience required
- Manufacturing environment/cost accounting a plus
- Intermediate to Advance level of MS Excel
- Excellent verbal, written English, and interpersonal skills
- Sage100 experience is also plus
- Ability to multitask and be resourceful
- Mindset of process improvement
