Job description
The role of Senior Accountant supports the financial statement close cycle and accounting functions to ensure timely reporting and compliance with relevant procedures and controls. Responsible for accurate accounting, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation for assigned areas.

  • Record transactional activity timely and accurately in the general ledger
  • Prepare and maintain monthly reports and internal financial statements, and forecasts
  • Provide necessary reporting on financial data, ensuring all requested reporting (ad-hoc and routine) are completed in a timely manner and contain accurate information
  • Ensure accounting records and practices adhere to accounting standards and Hakkasan Group accounting policies and procedures and remain consistent across all business units
  • Track, send out invoices and follow up on outstanding balances for owned venues
  • Post venue revenue daily
  • Post month-end journal entries
  • Assist with monthly development project billings for service fees and reimbursable expenses
  • Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner
  • Audit employee expense reports to ensure compliance with expense report policies, proper coding, and proper allocations
  • Prepare inter company allocations of shared costs
  • Assist employees and third parties with accounting-related inquiries
  • Ensure all administrative responsibilities of the Accounting Department are completed efficiently and effectively daily
  • May review daily safe audits for owned venues
  • Work with upper management on special assignments and projects
  • Assist and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited institution
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of direct work experience as Senior Accountant with education otherwise Minimum of six (6) years of accounting experience
  • Current working knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience preparing and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations
  • Proficiency with Great Plain, Workday, Infogenesis, Micros, Avero, and MS Office
