- Timely prepare and review financial statements, footnotes and supporting schedules according to the accounting close calendar
- Timely prepare monthly board of directors' reporting
- Timely prepare quarterly bank compliance reporting and other quarterly key stakeholder reporting required
- Assist with the monthly accounting close including the preparation and/or review of journal entries and reconciliations
- Analyze financial statements and other supporting schedules to understand trends in the business and ensure the accuracy of reported results; clearly communicate analysis to upper management and key decisionmakers
- Conduct financial analysis on consolidated and business unit results
- Partner with company's external auditors to ensure a successful outcome from an audit opinion perspective and prepare and compile audit deliverables
- Participate in projects pertaining to company's strategic digitization initiatives as well as other initiatives within Finance and Accounting and across other departments
- Participate in process improvements (e.g., new system implementations, system conversions, strategic initiatives) and procedural or accounting change
- Participate in special projects including new accounting principle implementation
- Research complex technical accounting and reporting matters as they arise, and document conclusions reached in accordance with relevant accounting literature
- Provide education and training to senior management on important accounting issues
- Provide support for partners across the organization for all accounting and reporting needs
- Additional responsibilities may include researching and implementing operational improvements, ad-hoc analyses and special project work
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- MBA certification or in progress a plus
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Advanced MS Office Suite including Excel with the ability to use tools and shortcuts to work efficiently and effectively across files
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP
- Knowledge of financial and accounting principles
- Knowledge of accounting and financial systems and software programs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Analytical skills

- Decision-making skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to interpret contract language
- Ability to effectively and proactively communicate with other departments
