Job description
Baton Rouge, LA Insurance Company seeking a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager.
Prepare financials, general ledger reconciliations, month end closing, fixed assets, monthly JE’s, 1099’s, monthly accrual entries, assist auditors at year end and general accounting duties as needed.

Requirements:
- Accounting experience (3-5 years), preferred
- Knowledge of accounting procedures
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- P&C Statutory Accounting preferred
- BS degree in Accounting, preferred
- CPA, preferred
