Senior Advisor Executive Program Consultant
Job description
Intermountain Healthcare and SCL Health, two leading nonprofit healthcare leaders, completed their merger in April 2022. Now known as Intermountain Healthcare, we are creating a model health system that provides high-quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare for patients and communities in the western United States.
Intermountain Healthcare’s Peaks Region serves Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Kansas. The Peaks Region President is seeking a Senior Advisor and Project Consultant to serve as a consultant on complex long-term projects.
You.
You bring your body, mind, heart, and spirit to your work as the Senior Advisor and Project Consultant for Intermountain Healthcare (formerly SCL Health).
You are equally comfortable with collaboration and developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
You’re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
Us.
System Service: is a regional office of Intermountain Healthcare, located in Broomfield, Colorado within the Oracle campus. Intermountain Healthcare is a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to helping people live the healthiest lives possible, with support from a model health system providing extraordinary care and superior service at an affordable cost.
Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind, and spiritual well-being. To that end, we’ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling, and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.
With this position, you are eligible to participate in the At-Risk Compensation (ARC) Plan. This plan enables SCL Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The ARC Award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected SCL Health Board-approved goals. To show our commitment to you and to assist with your transition into our organization, we may also offer a sign-on and / or relocation stipend and reimbursement when applicable.
We.
Together we’ll align mission and careers, values, and workplace. We’ll encourage joy and take pride in our integrity.
We’ll laugh at each other’s jokes (even the bad ones). We’ll hello and high five. We’ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.
We’re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.
Your day
The Senior Advisor and Project Consultant for Intermountain Healthcare serves as an advisor to executive leaders across the organization. This position works with complex matters and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, balancing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate demands. The Senior Advisor must handle highly confidential information with discretion and be a liaison between the executive leaders and stakeholders, both internal and external, along with collaborating with others to build strong and sustainable relationships at all levels within Intermountain.
As the Senior Advisor and Project Consultant, you will:
- Work and think strategically, implement plans, and manage performance expectations.
- Experience developing strategic operational plans and monitor implementation.
- Lead teams, build effective working relationships and demonstrate initiative and follow through.
- Take initiative with a moderate degree of ambiguity and manage large scale transformation at an enterprise level.
- Partner with operations leaders to facilitate system-wide implementations and assure continuous improvement from pilot to implementation by sharing learnings and assist with communications planning.
- Establish key performance indicators and interpret data with an eye toward creating value for customers and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, create synergy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Your experience
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or human resources
- Master’s degree, preferred
- Five years' experience in a complex, multi-layered organization with specific experience supporting a senior executive, preferably in healthcare
- Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail, strong organizational and project management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal consulting, and work in a trusted advisor role
- Experience facilitating interdisciplinary teams and developing effective relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, along with experience in continuous improvement and using Lean/Six Sigma
Your next move
Now that you know more about our team, we hope you’ll join us. At SCL Health you’ll reaffirm every day how much you love this work, and why you were called to it in the first place.
