Veranex has partnered with Genius Talent in search of a Senior Associate for their Commercial Strategy and Market Access Consulting Group. A successful candidate in this full-time position requires an individual with life sciences, healthcare consulting, or MedTech reimbursement background. Overall responsibilities and requirements are as follows:

Responsibilities
    Support project managers in building client-ready deliverables
    Guide associates on all aspects of the project, including primary research, secondary research, data analysis, and deliverable creation
    Conduct secondary research on current medical practices, the competitive landscape, the reimbursement environment, and current and potential market for healthcare products/technologies using resources such as Cortellis, PubMed, and Clinicaltrials.gov
    Build and develop health economic models such as microcosting analysis, budget-impact models and cost-effectiveness models for pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medical devices, and biotechnology products
    Conduct qualitative primary research interviews with physicians, medical directors, hospital administrators, policymakers, and other stakeholders in healthcare applying knowledge with CMS policy and implications to synthesize findings and make valid interpretations that inform business strategy and tactical plan
    Conduct research on medical coding pathways (CPT, HCPCS, ICD 9/10) for novel products/technologies and apply for novel codes on behalf of clients
    Comprehend, interpret, and analyze scientific and clinical information in the form of scientific publications, review articles, manufacturer materials, and clinical trial studies
    Independently produce written reports and client-ready presentations with minimal to no supervision
    Analyze US and global payer coverage policies and reimbursement implications for new healthcare technologies including biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics
    Develop project materials within given timelines and produce written reports and client ready presentations

    Support interactions with policymakers through preparation of written and verbal materials

Requirements
    Inquisitive nature and desire to excel in a collaborative environment
    Experience with US public and private payer coverage and reimbursement policy, including various fee schedules (DMEPOS, OPPS, etc.)
    Experience in medical devices and diagnostics a plus
    Familiarity with CMS policy and implications for clients, including MACRA, ACOs, bundled payment, etc.
    Understanding of US coding systems such as CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10
    Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills are required
    Experience with programming languages or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, Visual Basic) a plus
    Excellent time management, writing, and oral presentation skills are required
    Strong consideration given to candidates with additional language skills that represent our global market
Education & Experience
    2 to 3 years of relevant post-graduate education and/or work experience required
    BA/BS in Health Policy, Life Sciences, Economics or Business field strongly preferred.
    MS, MBA, MPH, PhD, PharmD, or MD, a plus
