Our firm services many different industries and provides accounting, tax, audits and assurances, and client advisory services in multiple industries for local governments, non profit organizations, businesses, and individuals. With the continued growth of our firm, we are looking for a Part-Time Senior Auditor predominantly focused on local government and non profit accounting. The candidate will work around 20-30 hours per week from May thru November and 10-20 hours per week from December thru February. Additional hours available if desired. Flexibility to work from home also available.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and assist partners and managers in annual audits, reviews, and compilations predominantly for local government entities and non profit entities.
  • Provide service and support to the Firm’s clientele
  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client receivables
  • Assess the risk of design and implementation of audit procedures to engagement teams
  • Involved in multiple audit engagements and engagement teams, and direct field work.
  • Develop relationships external to the firm that cultivates and promotes the firm’s organic growth.
  • Deliver exceptional client support virtually and onsite as needed.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent – CPA or eligibility to sit a plus.
  • 3+ years of progressive public accounting auditing experience. Management or supervisory experience a plus.
  • 2+ years of non profit or government experience a plus
  • Good technical accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS.
  • A working knowledge with Government Auditing Standards and Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software. Familiarity with CCH a plus.
  • Comfortable with hybrid (in-person/virtual) working environment
  • Valid Drivers License
