Role:
A Senior QA Automation Engineer at Chegg is someone who makes an immediate impact on our millions of student customers worldwide. This is a rare opportunity to join Commerce Web Engineering team and help millions of students with your knowledge and expertise. You will be closely working with Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Product team. You will be designing, developing and maintaining test automation framework for the team and will be responsible for solid automation around the site and middle layer services.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded automation engineer experienced in web and middle-layer automation. Passionate about simplifying automation with greater quality in mind, you breathe agile and lean-startup methodologies; you love innovating with cross-functional teams; above all, you share an unwavering commitment to ensuring the best student's experience.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate on improving design and architectural aspects of automated testing infrastructure.

Create automated functional, performance, chaos and stress tests.

Automate QA checks across the various layer of our continuous delivery infrastructure using tools like GitLab.

Write detailed system and feature-based test plans from product requirements and functional specifications.

Collaborate with product management, architecture, and development divisions to formulate comprehensive system and feature test plans.

Manage and track defects found during quality validation, including maintaining detailed QA reports using software like JIRA and TestRail.
Minimum Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer.

Experience testing web applications and middle-layer/backend systems for 3+ years.

Solid experience with test automation frameworks like Robot and Testcafe.

Experience in working on RDBMS systems and are comfortable writing SQL queries.

Experience writing code in languages like Python, Java, Perl etc.

Experience with REST API testing for functional, performance and load/stress testing.

Experience with CI/CD and process management tools and such as JIRA, Confluence etc.

Solid understanding of Agile development process.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent training or equivalent work experience.
