Senior Azure Solutions Architect / Engineer

Overview of Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Azure Solutions Architect to join the team. The candidate will be responsible for Microsoft technology, architecture, design, development and support. The deployment is in electronic broking, low latency trading applications, commercial real-estate, and other companies within our subsidiary portfolio. The systems in the environment run on a large-scale hybrid global deployment. There is an operation at scale focus. The candidate will be responsible for developing automation for deployment, management and administration processes. The candidate must be able to work well within a larger team.

Professional / Technical Skills

Strong understanding of core technologies PTP, NTP, TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS (MS-DNS, BIND & Infoblox)
Strong understanding and experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure VMs)

Containers (AKS, Kubernetes & Docker)

Strong understanding of hardware architecture and network protocols (ExpressRoute, VNET, PrivateLink, peering, private endpoints, Azure PaaS VNet integration, etc.)

Strong scripting & Automation (PowerShell, ARM templates, Python, Terraform, CloudFormation, PERL, Ansible, .NET, JavaScript)

Experience with secrets management in Azure Key Vault

Experience with Microsoft Identity, SSO, and Directory Services in B2B & B2C directories (AD, AAD, OpenLDAP)

Knowledge of messaging infrastructure (MS Exchange, Office365, Teams) is strongly desired

Experience with MSSQL Database Server setup and basic queries

Experience creating & maintaining Group Policy, Domain trusts, DFS, multiple Azure tenants and subscriptions

Experience working with 3rd party RESTful APIs for system integrations.

Ability to work on multiple business critical projects simultaneously

Ability to work with developers new to cloud environments and help them with adoption, cloud app design, and configuration

Develop PoC’s for new technologies that can be applicable to various areas of the business and present findings indicating industry trends, budget needs, security and compliance concerns

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 7 Years of experience

Financial services experience a plus

Azure Certifications a plus [ AZ-104, AZ-301, AZ-303, AZ-304 ]

PowerShell, ARM templates, Python, Terraform, Ansible experience is a plus

Experience working in Agile environments & DevOps concepts

Prior experience in Cloud solutions: Hybrid, Public, Azure & AWS

Design and implement disaster recovery procedures

Deliver solutions with a sense of urgency

Ability to pick up and learn any required programming/scripting languages as needed.

Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

Strong documentation skills
