JOB SUMMARY:

A Houston-based leading provider of rotating and fixed equipment repair and maintenance specialty services is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative for the Chicago Illinois markets.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Regional Business Development Manager will identify, establish, maintain, and grow key customer relationships at his/her assigned Universal Plant Services business partners both current, and targeted to drive business opportunities through all levels of a customer’s organization. It is expected that customer relationships be developed with: Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, Turnaround Managers, Capital Projects Managers, Reliability Managers, and wide variety of other customer contacts having the authority to make decisions in favor of Universal Plant Services.
  • The Regional Business Development Manager shall establish and maintain favorable contractual agreements (MSA’s) at his/her assigned customers and is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on these contracts.
  • The Regional Business Development Manager will provide formal performance reports (i.e. KPI’s) to customers at regularly scheduled intervals to ensure we are maintaining Customer Satisfaction Indexes at the highest levels.
  • The Regional Business Development Manager is expected to communicate to key managers across all Universal Plant Services companies to ensure there is consistent buy-in from key operations stakeholders regarding strategic direction, and progress.
  • Maintain accurate/current/robust account profiles for assigned customers in Salesforce.
  • Interact with Universal Plant Services Contracts department personnel to ensure we are expeditiously, and completely responding to customer contract requirements, RFQ’s, and other formal agreement objectives.
  • Maintain a large Opportunities Pipeline that supports Universal Plant Services companies, geographies, locations, and markets.
  • Meet, and/or exceed all revenue budgets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Perform duties within the individual Sales Expense Budget parameters set forth by the Vice President – Business Development.
  • On an “as needed” basis, provide pertinent company, and service line analysis/information to better position other Universal Plant Services Regional Business Development Managers in their day-to-day sales call activities.
  • Attend appropriate regularly scheduled Business Development-Operations meetings as directed by Universal Plant Services Business Development management.
  • Attend/work appropriate industry, and/or customer specific trade shows as required by customers or Universal Plant Services Business Development management.
  • Execute, and complete any “other duties as assigned” at a high level of proficiency, competency, urgency, etc. to achieve defined objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • B. S. in a Business Management discipline with a focus in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, or other course of business-related study is required.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 7 to 10 years of multi-level field sales/business development experience as a member of a high performing, fast-paced sales, or business development team is preferred. ·

Skills

  • Proficiency in managing complex contractual agreements highly preferred.
  • Proficient in all MS suite of products, particularly PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficient in a wide range of data analysis, and report production.
  • Abilities Must be able to build strong business, and personal relationships with key client contacts.
  • Must have great written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be the consummate team player.
  • Must be used to striving for and delivering excellence.
  • Must be able to think, and adjust efforts based upon unforeseen changes in priorities.
  • Experience working for, or in an industrial service company is preferred. · Other characteristics such as personal characteristics
