Job Summary
We are open to full-time candidates who are willing to travel across the state of New Mexico as needed.
As a Senior CCTV Field Engineer you will report to the New Mexico Operations Manager and will be an early and crucial member of our growing operations team. You will be responsible for:
- Executing all phases of the installation and configuration of residential and commercial CCTV and intrusion systems
- Ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget
- Coordinating with clients to install systems on-site
- Oversee and lead job site organization - verifying the team has the necessary equipment to complete the installation, delegating tasks, clarifying instructions, maintaining a safe, neat, and tidy work environment
- Pull, Terminate and test data (cat5/6) cables from pull point back to IDF closet, ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations
- Analyze blueprints, floor plans, schematics, drawings, and cut sheets to connect cables and equipment safely and accurately
- Test and troubleshoot any issues and proactively identify solutions
- Consistently and accurately update customer records and provide detailed project notes
- Create a daily punch list of tasks that need to be completed and consistently communicate overall progress with the management team.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with commercial low voltage, CCTV systems
- Possess working knowledge of ANSI/EIA/TIA cabling standards and the National Electric Code
- Strong Computer skills and ability to understand and interact with LAN/WAN systems as a part of an overall system installation
- Working knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, digital analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices
- Experience installing and programming electronic security devices and control panels a plus
