We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our team of professionals. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Experience ranging from roadway, utilities, drainage, and land development experience.
  • The position requires technical knowledge and ability in applying principles of engineering.
  • Preparation or review of engineering design plans and specifications,
  • Responsible for the quality of civil engineering work performed, client service, utilization of staff, marketing, reputation of the office, contract management, billing collection, and project profitability for roadway, water, and wastewater engineering.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Ability to lead across various Disciplines to produce complete projects as scoped
  • Directs and coordinates activities of Project Engineers and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Oversees work involving the preparation of design using local (State, County or City) standards at both conceptual and final design levels.
  • Initiates and reviews proposals. Participates in interviews and presentations as applicable.
  • Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned.
  • Serves as a representative of DAL-TECH at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.
  • Develops, reviews and obtains confirmation of financial and project delivery schedule activities of design and construction as they relate to all disciplines involved.
  • Assures that project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal type civil engineering projects with progressive project management experience is required
  • Discipline leader experience in municipal utilities, roadway, drainage, TCP is required . Working knowledge of the other areas with ability to understand and correlate work.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas required
  • Experience working with the Texas Department of Transportation is preferred.
  • Experience with Civil 3-D, Microstation and GEOPAK is required. OpenRoads is preferred
  • Experience with project collaboration software is preferred (e.g. ProjectWise) Experience working in and leading large teams required
  • Experienced and promoter of quality methods
  • Candidate with established local client relationships preferred
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skill
