ProEquity Asset Management is a commercial property management company that specializes in private clients and loan foreclosure management across the United States. ProEquity Asset Management Corporation is seeking an experienced accountant to assist in managing the company and related companies corporate accounting. The Senior Accountant must have solid communication and technology skills as well as people management and analytical capability. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as an accountant in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, you will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting, payroll, financial reporting and compliance processes. Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role will produce thorough financial reports for senior management to help improve operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Objectives of this Role

· Provide comprehensive financial updates to ownership of the companies and its related entities by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.

· Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.

· Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.

· Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.

· Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.

Duties

· Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards across numerous entities.

· Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

· Oversee the operations of the Corporate Accounting Department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.

· Hire, train and retain accounting staff.

· Work with external auditors and CPAs as needed.

· Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.

· Develop and monitor business performance metrics and report to management team.

· Provide management with vital information to assist the decision making process.

· Administers all banking processes following internal controls and risk mitigation.

· Process all regulatory reporting, tax and compliance.

· Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field

· 5+ years proven accounting experience

· Working knowledge regulatory standards (GAAP)

· Strong understanding of economic and banking processes

· Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis

· Exemplary history of financial project management

· Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and bookkeeping database

· Quickbooks experience is required

· Work independently and productively while keeping open communication with others

· Maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, and clients

· Effectively manage time to avoid backtracking and delay of tasks.

· Must be professional, courteous, and service-oriented

· Ability and desire to multitask and prioritize multiple duties and deadlines.

· Regular attendance and timeliness

· Model behaviors that are consistent with the Company’s values

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
