About Our Team
Cross River's team is made up of problem solvers hungry to build and perfect new products and systems. We work with team members in most US time zones. Although we are in separate places, we still make space to know one another and have fun! We collaborate, help and mentor each other, and check in on our progress and blocks frequently. We work together primarily with Slack, GitHub, JIRA, and Zoom.
What We're Looking for
- The Senior Data Governance Analyst is a critical role for Cross River and will report to the Data Governance Head. The Senior Data Governance Analyst will perform project management activities, business analyst activities, and act as a data governance SME.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Documenting data governance principles, policies, standards, and procedures
- Collaborating with executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies for the data team
- Determining key performance indicators and how to measure team performance
- Supporting of the Cross River data governance program by providing subject matter expertise to data owners and other key participants in business and technology.
- Providing various vertical leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork
- Planning, coordinating, and keeping contents of a meeting focused
- Providing tactical support to implement ideas
- Working with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals
- Responding to inquiries on behalf of the Data Governance Head.
- Overseeing strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation
- Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities within business processes
- Providing Chief Data Officer and other senior leaders with insight and analysis on the company's data operations
- Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
- Planning, coordinating and leading meetings and workshops
- Translating business requirement to technical requirement
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with large-scale data or project management and oversight experience. Financial services experience is preferred
- Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices
- Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
- Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
- Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
- Proven policy, standard, and procedure writing skills.
- Knowledge of risk data architecture and technology solutions
- Internally and externally recognized subject matter expert who influences the way things are done
- Bachelors or master's in computer science, MIS, or Management

Salary Range: $130,000.00-$170,000.00
