SSI needs to add a Sr. Engineer to support our current list of services provided for the U.S. Navy.

Primary Functions:

• Provide engineering services to the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Program. Some of the systems and programs supported are United States Navy (USN). (Aegis, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Large Unmanned Surface Vessel (LUSV), CEC FMS platforms, Surface Combatants, Naval Air (NAVAIR)), USMC, all CEC system variants, Composite Track Network (CTN), Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

• Direct experience supporting strike group operations and/or land based testing.
• Direct experience with naval weapon or combat systems alteration installation projects.
• Direct experience with developing Department of Defense (DoD) standard documentation (i.e., test plans, reports, white papers).
• At least five years of experience related to the maintenance or operation of Navy weapon or combat systems is required. Served at least seven years in the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist (OS) or Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Control (FC) rating. Experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of naval weapons systems’ functions and operations.
• Experience as a project team leader responsible for personnel, performance and schedules

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college in an applicable discipline such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer science, Electrical/Electronic Technology.
• Two additional years of specialized experience in the areas specified below may be substituted for each year of formal education or portion thereof not attained. At minimum, a High School diploma is required for this category.

Must possess a valid California driver’s license. U.S. Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance required for hire, and to be maintained throughout employment. All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.

CONTINGENT OFFER

• This position is contingent upon contract award and is anticipated to start in January of 2023.
