The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects including developing audit scope, performing audit procedures, and preparing audit report results. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units, focusing on financial, information technology and operational processes. Additionally, the Senior Internal Auditor will also assist Internal Audit management with periodic reporting to the Audit Committee, development of the annual internal audit plan, and championing internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business. This includes directing and reviewing the work performed by other internal auditors, including resources from the co-sourcing firm. Compensation for this position starts at $68,000.

What will I be doing in this role?

• Possess an understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage, and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions
• Ability to identify and quantify risks, evaluate controls, and identify gaps in processes that could lead to losses, misappropriation, or legal concerns
• Identify operational inefficiencies and redundancies, think innovatively, and make recommendations to simplify and streamline processes
• Work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to other internal audit project team members
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree is required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of internal audit experience is required; prior credit union or banking internal audit experience is a plus
• Microsoft Excel experience required including pivot tables and Vlookup
• Certified Internal Auditor designation preferred
