Senior Manager, Corporate Development

Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer

About the role:

In this role, you will work with executives and senior business leaders to drive the planning and execution of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate must have the ability to evaluate the marketplace and identify new business opportunities, understand customer needs and future requirements, guide strategic product direction and influence build – buy – partner decision making processes. This role is forward looking, and requires both analytical and conceptual thinking. This individual will also leverage their own experience and subject matter expertise to guide Enova's overall strategic plan development and execution.

What you'll be doing:

• Analyze market opportunities, trends, competition and opportunities for partnering or acquisition.
• Plan and drive execution of strategic initiatives, working cross-functionally to manage risks, cost, quality, and rollout, identifying and resolving concerns or blockers as they arise.
• Assist with the identification and evaluation of new product or technology opportunities, or potential merger and acquisition candidates.
• Develop business cases and plans for evaluating and executing strategic initiatives.
• Ensure decisions affecting successful completion of initiatives are made in a timely fashion by the appropriate decision-makers and interface directly with key stakeholders to understand, manage, and document dependencies and status.
• Manage ongoing reporting to stakeholders, including written and verbal communication of major project metrics as well as status for each project and for the program as a whole.
• Collaborate across Enova including technology, marketing, analytics, strategy and operations, finance, and compliance/legal.

We're excited about you if you have:

• 3+ years in Corporate Development, Private Equity, Venture Capital or Investment Banking, in addition to 5+ years in Management Consulting, Business Development, Product Marketing, or Product Management/Development.
• Industry experience in Financial Services, Technology, or eCommerce strongly preferred.
• MBA from top-rated business school, similar level of experience and skills.
• Prior deal management experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to report and persuade different levels, including senior management.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to complement strong tactical execution skills.
• Strong grasp of business operations and experience designing and implementing scalable operational models.
• Skilled in presenting and creating actionable reports.
• Strong analytic skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation and broad quantitative analyses and familiarity with accounting & key operational metrics.
• Team player, proactive and action oriented, anticipates needs, is assertive, and is highly accountable.
