What You'll Do:
- Change Management and Building the Capability of the Function.
- Ensures all strategic recommendations provide the magnitude of AGS$ and CM$ impact necessary for the Businesses to achieve annual EBIDTA goals.
- Formulate pricing strategy to position all product lines based on value and competitive situation. Recommend necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters
- Analyze competitor pricing and apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential outcome of different pricing strategies on profitability.
- Develop a methodology to calculate the national price (including price floors and ceilings, as applicable)
- Lead the price increase process for the organization while ensuring compliance by controlling the exemption process. Partner with Sales and Sales Operations to implement price changes into the market
- Develop reports to track & monitor the pricing projects and associated activities to assess pricing action effectiveness
- Perform business and market analysis and support managerial decision making
- Support Trade Strategy, Brand Marketing and Finance with customer pricing negotiations of terms and conditions while identifying opportunities to enhance profitability of key customers
- Continuously enhancing the pricing process to increase sales and profit for the company
- Develop and Execute a Contract/JBP Renewal Negotiation Process and Analytics
How You'll Do It:
- Develop and Execute a Contract Negotiation Process and Analytics for new customers
- Develop and Execute a Dealer Expense Investment Strategy and Control Process
- Support the annual budget process on pricing issues as needed
- Be a subject matter expert for all things related to Pricing
- Lead post event analysis for SSBs National Promotions to outline key performance drivers, return on investment and recommendations.
- Develop insights across categories. Provide these insights to the Trade Strategy, Marketing and Sales teams in a clear and concise format.
- Drive facilitation, synthesis and delivery of data sets with senior leaders while providing context and relevancy to inform and support strategic direction & decisions.
- Ensure team is providing insight and perspective identifying key insights using syndicated data that support the creation of business plans and sales execution.
- Perform business and market analysis and support managerial decision making
What You'll Bring:
- Demonstrated Performance:
- Bachelor’s degree required, business degree or other discipline that requires quantitative knowledge (MBA preferred).
- Commercial/customer experience in either a direct role or a close supporting role within CPG preferred.
- 10+ years of business experience, at least four years within trade marketing, consumer pricing, or category management.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in data analytics and reporting, research background.
- High level of experience in generating, interpreting and analyzing different data sets: (IRI/ Nielsen, retailer and shopper data) and secondary data to build actionable insights and recommendations
- Passion for working in big data: combining data from multiple sources and ability to extract data to support the business decisions
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in building automated reporting, dashboards, and/or creating clean reporting functionality for the business
- Demonstrated management and supervisory skills
- Up to 35% Travel
