Jackson Hewitt’s Human Resources team is looking to add a Senior Manager, Retail Talent Acquisition to our team. We are a hardworking team of innovators, analyzers, and influencers that are passionate about making Jackson Hewitt the absolute best place to work.

Reporting into the Director, Talent Strategy & Acquisition, the Senior Manager, Retail Talent Acquisition, will oversee the commercial (retail) talent acquisition function and serve as a recruiting and retention consultant to franchisees, providing guidance on recruiting tactics and strategies for their independently owned and operated Jackson Hewitt franchised businesses. You will also lead a seasonal recruitment team and manage full cycle recruitment for company owned operations. In this role, you will also participate on a cross-functional, dynamic team that shapes the people and commercial strategy of Jackson Hewitt, taking on projects, action items, tactics and other duties from this core initiative team.

What you'll do here:
Franchise Operations
  • Serves as a liaison between franchisees and corporate. Responsible for effectively communicating new Jackson Hewitt initiatives to the field.
  • Facilitates regional workshops, office manager training and other training sessions with respect to Jackson Hewitt services, programs and vendor products.
  • Develops rapport and effective business relationships with company owned operations and franchisees. Fields technical phone calls related to JH recruiting brand standards.
  • Provides suggestions, guidance, and instruction on executing new Jackson Hewitt recruitment brand standards, programs, and marketing tools.
  • Provides technical assistance and serves as a recruiting liaison between franchisees and corporate.
Corporate Owned Operations
  • Lead and develop a team of seasonal recruitment coordinators.
  • Provide full-cycle recruitment by sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, and closing offers to candidates.
  • Help build processes, best practices, and continuous improvement to increase efficiency.
  • Develop staffing strategies and meet staffing goals based on forecasts of business demands and needs.
  • Analyze trends and metrics and collaborate with JH functional experts to develop solutions, make recommendations, and execute programs.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and processes in compliance with federal and state laws in alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as backup for Director of Talent Strategy & Acquisition.
Skills you’ll bring for success:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business strongly preferred or equivalent related business experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in recruitment where you have established and improved programs or processes and lead or had a leading role in high volume recruitment planning and execution
  • You have an all-hands-on deck, team-first mentality and believe no task is beneath you; you are a true servant leader.
  • Experience consulting/advising with leaders on recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates
  • Experience working with retail operations utilizing seasonal employees is a strong plus
  • Experience working within a franchise or business with multi-unit operations is a strong plus
  • Have a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and often ambiguous environment where agility, customer knowledge, and learning are essential
  • You’ve managed multiple projects and priorities of varying levels of difficulty and length, while hitting deadlines
  • Is a dynamic, enthusiastic, creative professional who can pivot quickly
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to read between the lines, think strategically, and analyze information provided
  • Ability to efficiently use human resource and talent acquisition related tools, as well as Excel and other organizational technology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
