Job Description:

As Senior Network Architect of Jet Aviation you will serve as the process owner responsible for designing and implementing computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks, Internet access, intranets, DMZ environments and other data communications and infrastructure systems and managing security countermeasures when network vulnerabilities are discovered. You will create, test, and evaluate networks and systems. You will have responsibility for influencing the individuals in a matrixed team to ensure group objectives are met, respecting budget, time and quality targets, in line with the organization’s strategy. The Senior Network Architect will be collaborating closely with various IT groups and business departments throughout the company as well as externally to ensure that the roadmap for network architecture is globally aligned and executed effectively. This position is a hybrid role based out of our office in West Palm Beach, FL.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, test, implement and inspect data and voice communications networks and systems.
• Analyse business requirements to develop and optimize technical network solutions and frameworks.
• Manage network security countermeasures when vulnerabilities arise.
• Maintain network documentation and functional requirements, specifications, guidelines, and a list of network assets.
• Develop test plans, technology roadmaps, implementation plans, and project timelines for various infrastructure and network projects.
• Analyse, engineer, and execute network management functions internal and with managed service providers.
• Manage network technology vendors.
• Lead and perform network troubleshooting and configuration analyse to diagnose and isolate system and application issues.
• Supervise the upgrade, maintenance or repairs of network hardware and software components as required.
• Oversee the network implementation process, including setting schedules and budgets.
• Determine business direction and align with compliance and security requirements.
• Research network technologies and stay up to date on advancements in the field.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, aviation regulations, GD, and Jet Aviation policies.
• Conduct business ethically according to GD Blue Book regulations, GD, and Jet Aviation policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Information Technology Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in information technology operations, network architectures and/or information security.
• 8-10 years’ experience in a broad range of network technology operations including network design / architecture.
• Proven practical network management skills applied in projects or in the specifics of job roles held.
• Deep understanding of network concepts such as WAN/VPN, MPLS/VRF, VLAN/WLAN, VoIP, Client-Server, and Cloud intercommunication techniques, etc.
• CCNP or equivalent networking professional certificates preferred with proven practical skill applied in projects or in the specifics of job roles held
• Proficient with Cisco technologies like IOS, ISE, Prime, Meraki, etc.
• Capacity to adapt to a challenging and fast-moving environment, with changing priorities and a heavy workload
• Knowledge about one or more of the following technologies is of advantage: Voice technologies, AD/AAD/MS365/Azure, Microsoft Server 2016ff, VMWare, NetApp/SAN, or others
