ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Payroll Manager will manage all facets of payroll for North America. The Senior Payroll Manager will be the point of contact for payroll activities and will ensure consistency across the organization in pay practices and pay compliance. The Senior Payroll Manager will manage the HRIS vendor relationship (ADP) for approximately 350 employees.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees with 100% accuracy, garnishments, taxes and compliance.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of payroll earnings,
• Manage the HRIS vendor relationship (ADP) and manage all system enhancements for improved and efficient payroll operations across the organization.
• Be the point person for payroll questions/requests/corrections.
• Partner with Corporate HR Manager for annual 401(k) audit.
• Facilitate meetings and/or trainings with HR site representatives and Site Leaders as needed for new pay policies, practices, protocols, laws, system changes, etc.
• Maintain and audit all payroll entries while ensuring compliance with payroll state and federal regulations as well as internal policies and practices.
• Work all end-of-year activities to ensure accurate and timely distribution of W-2 statements.
• Ability to solve problems and apply appropriate solutions to be compliance with laws and internal policies/practices.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines with strong quality assurance.

REQUIREMENTS

• 12-15 years of experience working in a progressive payroll position within a multi-state environment.
• Solid knowledge of core, end-to-end payroll processes and procedures including controls and state and federal pay laws.
• Strong excel skills and reporting out to multiple departments.
• Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
• High degree of initiative, confidentiality, mature judgement and discretion.
• Knowledge of related tax rules and regulations.
• Strong sense of urgency, accountability and result oriented.
• Superior detail orientation: values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work.
• Prior experience with ADP and Time and Attendance tools a plus.
• Prior Canada/US payroll processing experience required.
• Prior experience working with large populations of an hourly workforce is required.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, logistics, transportation or similar is preferred, working with large populations of an hourly workforce is required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
