Senior Production Planner

The Sr. Planner Scheduler is to evaluate material requirements to minimize inventory while supporting the production plan and

customer orders. Release material orders to both suppliers and manufacturing to

support material requirements. Work with manufacturing and suppliers on schedule attainability, capacity, and pricing.

Lead scheduling improvements of work order packets, capacity and information through machine shop and fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

• Reviews demand. Release purchase part and manufacturing orders to
• meet production plan and customer order dates
• Monitors and communicates deliveries from manufacturing machine shop, fabrication shop and suppliers
• Leader in continuous improvement in scheduling and planning of manufacturing items
• Communicates with suppliers to follow-up or expedites orders as required to meet dates
• Establish component inventory levels based on order and productionmethods
• Maintains part information data in the system
• Continuous improvement activities to reduce inventory

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, APICS certified or equivalent job experience
• Minimum 4-5 years of Production Planning/Scheduling experience in a Job Shop fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent oral and written persuasive communication and presentation skills
• Proven track record of progressive accomplishment and growing a business
• Skilled in the use of PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Professional

Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, small parts and driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment and avoidance of trips and falls. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
