RPS Infrastructure is based in Texas focusing on public works and infrastructure projects. Our team of civil and environmental engineers are focused on designing sustainable and practical solutions to improve quality of life on our nation’s highways and water systems.

Our expertise has included public utilities, traffic and intelligent transportation systems, municipal services, road and bridge, land development, storm water, environmental, TxDOT, airport, toll road, construction management, transit and rail projects. We work for public and private sector clients, and we have offices in all major metropolitan areas of the state.

Description

Our Houston office is adding a senior project engineer with a background in transportation to provide support in roadway drainage design.

As senior project engineer, you will be a part of plan production, design administration and assist with project financials and client interactions when requested. You will also be expected to work with the project manager in all aspects of projects, including project scoping and proposals, conceptual design and site layouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Serves as lead design engineer on assigned projects.
• Supervises engineering support personnel on assigned projects.
• Prepares and monitors budgets and schedules for all assigned projects.
• Tracks and reports on progress and performance for all assigned projects and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Assists Project Manager in the overall supervision and control of project activities.
• Maintains current project status summaries for all assigned projects and keeps Project Manager fully informed about the status of all assigned projects.
• When directed by the Project Manager, assists in arranging for
• and supervises “outside services”.
• When directed by the Project Manager, assists in planning with and maintaining liaison with regulatory agencies.
• Maintains complete files and records for all assigned projects.
• Assists in arranging and conducting regular project review and reporting meetings.
• Assures that all the firm’s QA/QC procedures are followed and met.
• Assists Project Manager in arranging and conducting a final review and critique for all assigned projects.

Requirements

• BS Civil Engineering
• 8+ years’ experience
• Professional Engineer Licensure, State of Texas
