HDR is hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager for our Solid Waste division. This position can be located in any of our Florida locations.
This position requires a self starter who is able to manage project delivery and project development while also interfacing with regional solid was the leadership and national technical practice leads including landfill gas, landfill, solid waste facilities and solid waste planning. This individual will help identify and pursue existing and future clients, identify needs and be a driver for operational and engineering solutions.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Manage projects for various design and permitting projects crossing all solid waste technical specialties.
- Prepare proposals, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams to execute work in accordance with project scope and fees.
- Perform regulatory and code compliance support services.
- Serve as engineer of record and manage project financials, quality control and client communication expectations.
- Contribute to local and regional solid waste organizations
- Drive project development from conceptual development through planning, design, construction and operations support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 10 years general Civil/Environmental Engineering experience with an emphasis on MSW facility design, permitting, and construction
- Familiar with managing projects and key performance indicators, coordinating and preparing schedules, and problem resolution
- Demonstrated experience in project development and execution in the public and private sectors
- Ability to understand and leverage the skill sets of HDR subject matter experts to execute projects that are awarded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership and project management skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel)
- Must be detail-oriented and a team player with great communication, technical writing, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
