ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, disciplined and able to perform effectively against clearly defined goals and objectives that directly contribute to profitable growth in the organization.

• Ensure compliance to all safety and integrity rules and regulations within the function
• Lead small and large projects to develop industrial gear reducers
• Work with designers to create and design gear reducers
• Run software to analyze shaft stress and deflection
• Select bearings and run software to determine bearing life
• Perform helical and bevel gear design
• Provide technical support for development testing
• Project management and reporting
• Lead and train new engineers

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Proficient with SolidWorks or other similar solids modeling software on mechanical products
• Basic understanding of project management processes – and perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks
• Basic knowledge of Lean principals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially the use of Word and Excel
• Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for ideas
• Must be able to work with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing personnel
• Read and interpret complex data, information, and documents
