Opportunity at a Glance:
Adtalem Global Education is looking for a skilled Sr. Salesforce Developer to support multiple salesforce orgs. This role is responsible for participating in the completion of deliverables according to the definition of done for this Agile team. This position requires hands-on experience programming applications and web-services. The development team follows Agile (Scrum), and this role should have experience with Agile methodologies. The daily operations of this position include documentation of the solutions, analysis, problem resolution, design, development, communication with other team members, participation in solution delivery, provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistance. and other responsibilities required to ensure continuity of operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on technical implementation, with a focus on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce.com platform.
- Take a lead role in the design, implementation, deployment and documentation of projects that leverage the Salesforce.com toolset.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for solution architecture that will include configuration, development, integration and customization of complex environments.
- Serve as technical lead for Salesforce projects.
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
- Collaborate with our Digital Center of Excellence, CRM and Back-End Development teams to create cutting-edge experiences for our institutions.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Declarative Programming and Administration (develop code, custom objects, Visual Force pages, Apex, reports, workflows and assignment rules).
- Design and develop solutions primarily on the Salesforce platform using Apex programming language, Visual Force, Lightning Web Components.
- Create and maintain lighting community templates, lightning web components and flows.
- Develop software solutions using MS tools, Salesforce.com API framework, and 3rd party APIs.
- Perform unit testing and defect fixes.
- Liaise with internal clients and users to understand their business needs in developing solutions through Salesforce.
- Juggle multiple projects involving various end users, meet deadlines and proactively communicate status updates.
- Demonstrate calm under pressure and be a proactive contributor with an eagerness to learn.
- Contribute to code standards and best practices.
- Ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer and/or Information Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce development with 1 or more Salesforce certifications demonstrating current knowledge as a developer.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, coding standards, change control, and version management.
- Experience in enterprise-level Salesforce projects using Agile software development methodologies.
- Solid understanding of Java.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS.
- Experience with:
- Salesforce Sales, Service Cloud and Community Cloud
- Force.com, Apex, Visualforce, Aura and Lightning web components
- SOQL and Salesforce Data Loader
- System integration (REST API), including associated functional and unit test code, and code validation against unit tests.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases.
- Proficient in writing clean, solid, readable code.
- Highly accurate with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
