Job description
Just-Evotec is seeking a motivated and creative scientist who desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. As a key member of the Mass Spectrometry group, you will possess strong technical knowledge of mass spectrometry and detailed knowledge of characterizing protein therapeutics development.
Responsibilities:
- Characterization of biotherapeutics using mass spectrometry, especially intact mass and peptide mapping workflows
- Method development for mass spectrometry-based experiments
- Work with team members on technology development to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency, speed, and quality of analytical methods
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with TOF and Orbitrap mass spectrometry instrumentation
- Experience with HPLC techniques, including instrumentation and method development
- Protein characterization experience and an understanding of protein chemistry fundamentals
- Familiarity with mass spectrometry method development
- Desire to work in a fast, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field and 0-5+ years industry experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 5-10+ years industry experience
- Experience with troubleshooting complex instrumentation
- Strength in data science and informatics
- Hands on experience with Protein Metrics, BioPharma Finder, Skyline and other mass spectrometry analysis platforms.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
