Modernizing Medicine is hiring a Senior Scrum Master with a passion for innovation to help us change the way that thousands of physicians practice medicine. As a Scrum Master, you will manage multiple Agile software development projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion and will promote and improve scrum processes from initiation through delivery while leading a mid-size team (8-10) of Developers, Testers, BA and Technical lead. They are responsible for providing an oversight in the key areas:

• Manage agile software development projects/products from inception to completion
• Upholding and facilitating SAFe and Scrum Principles
• Iteration and Release Planning
• Supporting the RTE with Deployment Planning
• Communication and Reporting
• Agile Process improvements and Standards

Your Role:

• Conduct and facilitate all Scrum Ceremonies (daily standups sprint planning, grooming sessions, product reviews, sprint retrospectives, etc.).
• Coach the team to drive sprint commitment and release timelines and goals.
• Provide leadership and direction to team(s) and manage dependencies across teams.
• Collaborate with Product to ensure team(s) understand business/project objectives and requirements.
• Serve as liaison between Product, development team(s), and management in order to ensure that all goals and requirements are met.
• Act/think independently and collaborate with Product to manage scope, timeline and team resources and be able to hold others accountable.
• Communicate issues and risks and collaborate with team(s) on mitigation plans.
• Support Product in maintaining team backlogs, planning sprints/releases and setting sprint goals.
• Champion for continuous improvement in processes and standards within scrum team.
• Promote and provide environment for feedback, team communication and innovation.
• Create all required artifacts required by ModMed 's agile methodology.
• Supports the team towards successful Product Delivery.
• Provides recommendation to the scrum teams on how to increase effectiveness and efficiencies with a keen eye to shift the team to more standard way of delivering value.
• Owns and maintains Jira as it pertains to the team's sprint and release and help the team to maintain their own updates.
• Maintains communication with relevant Business representative (Product Owner) and Functional representatives in regard to statuses, risks and concerns impacting the sprint delivery.
• Generate sprint health reports and other dashboards as it pertains to the product.
• Provide coaching and conflict resolution as needed.
• Collaborate with Release Management on release availability, release timing, and release contents.
• Work with distributed teams across multiple cultures/timezones.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in technical / business discipline or relevant professional experience.
• Must have CSM certification. CSPO certification is preferred. SAFe 5.1 Scrum Master Certification preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with Scaled Agile Framework (5.1).
• Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 5-7 years for a software development team that was diligently applying SAFe and Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
• Facilitative – Must be able to lead and showcase value-add principles to the team.
• Team Coach – Coaches the team on the agile process.
• Assertive – Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum principles and concepts are adhered to, must be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.
• Communicative and Social – Must be able to communicate well with teams and fellow Scrum Masters.
• Situationally Aware – Must be the first to notice the differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management.
• Enthusiastic – Must be high-energy. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong sense of urgency.
• Continual Improvement – Must continually be growing one's craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and team.
• Conflict resolution – Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches.
• Attitude of empowerment – Must be able to lead a team to self-organization.
• Attitude of transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust.
• Protects the team from over commitments and distractions.
• Help the Product Owner/BA in writing User Stories as needed.
• Facilitate User Story Refinement sessions with the team.
