Overview:
i3 is seeking a Software Developer to perform software development activities for a variety of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Trainer projects in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will use your skills to help design and develop the Army’s only accredited simulation and training software for qualifying soldiers to operate Gray Eagle and Shadow UAS. The candidate must be capable of and comfortable with learning new software technologies, systems, and skillsets as part of a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements analysis, design, software development and testing
- Design and develop simulation software in an agile scrum environment
- Support architectural design and analyze customer requirements
- Support unit and component test cases for inclusion in the Continuous Integration/Deployment pipeline
- Work with other teams/team members to resolve technical issues that may arise during development and testing
Required Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree with at least nine (9) years of experience; four (4) years of additional experience accepted in lieu of degree; or Master’s degree with at least (6) years of experience.
Required Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to employment; must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance to maintain employment.
Required Skills:
- Object-oriented software development experience using C++ or C#
- Experience with .NET Framework and Visual Studio IDE
Desired Skills:
- Strong background in mathematics
- Experienced working in Agile Framework
- Experienced using Git or other source control management
- Unit testing and continuous integration best practices
- Experience working with TCP and UDP sockets
- Experience working with Redhat/Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with distributed simulation, Army tactical systems, 6-DOF (6 Degrees of Freedom), Motion Models, and/or Flight Models
