Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Chicago office as part of Finalta’s software engineering team of 16. You will work closely with our team of over 150 colleagues across the globe to ensure the solutions they use on a daily basis are performant, secure, and meet the changing needs of the business.
Building on more than fifteen years of experience working with leading banks, insurers, and telecom operators, Finalta combines proprietary and highly granular performance benchmark data and best-practice knowledge from 250 institutions in over 50 countries to generate insights on how to achieve superior performance.
We are tech-enabling and automating our services, constantly evolving with the rapid pace of technology with new strategies, solutions, and products.

What You'll Do

You will play a key role in the full development lifecycle, exploring, designing, and implementing innovative solutions to enable Finalta to unlock new, actionable insights from a unique dataset sourced directly from the world’s leading financial & telecoms organizations.
Working in an agile environment, you’ll leverage a wide range of technologies including C# .NET Core, SQL, TypeScript, React, Azure services, and Docker to develop software solutions. This includes a bespoke benchmarking platform (capturing, validating & processing billions of records), complex analytical tools (both on-premises & cloud-based), and interactive data visualization solutions (including a client-facing portal).
You will collaborate with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders to understand complex business problems and then work in a dedicated team to develop and deploy the solution.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience (C# .NET)
  • Hands-on experience building APIs and microservices
  • Expert knowledge in Azure with hands-on experience
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (relational databases, columnstore)
  • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools, experience with containers (Docker)
  • Very strong problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to act as an agile coach
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and design patterns
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
  • Abilities to effectively work with people at all levels in the organization and communicate complex ideas, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with front-end development including SPA development (React) is a plus
