Axient LLC. is seeking a Senior Space and Department of the Air Force Advisor.
The Department of the Air Force and Space Force are conducting a comprehensive review of current and future force structures in support of but not limited to, the Secretary of the Air Forces, 2022, Department of the Air Force Operational Imperatives. This work is then further integrated into a number of DoD, COCOM, and Joint Staff initiatives. This work informs Department of the Air Force and DoD future force structure, needed technologies with associated roadmaps, policies, CONOPS, modeling and simulation, studies and analysis, wargaming, and system acquisition.- An example of this work is the Space Force creation, development, and management of the Space Solar Power Imitative (SSPI) that includes the Space Solar Power Incremental Demonstrations and Research Project (SSPIDR) project.
- SSPIDR is a series of integrated demonstrations and technology maturation efforts led for the Space Force by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Space Vehicles Directorate, to develop space-based solar power collection, its transmission, storage, use, and integration into all-domain operations and capabilities.
- Additionally, as the Department of the Air Force and Space Force is in the process of crafting a Space Operational Energy Strategy and supporting technology roadmaps.
- To support these above efforts, Axient Corp, on behalf of the Department of the Air Force and Space Force, seeks a highly experienced Senior Space domain advisor and subject matter expert to provide recommendations and counsel on Space matters at the most senior levels of the Department of the Air Force. This individual must have senior Department of the Air Force and Space expertise and experience, and be able to integrate Space into the other domains and services, such as the Army Futures Command. This senior advisor, senior statesman, must be able to provide counsel and recommendation across the Department of the Air Force Operational Imperatives and in particular across the Space Domain, such as providing advice, insights, and recommendations to the SSPI, SSPIDR, provide advice on Space Operational Energy Strategy efforts, and other related subjects, or subjects as designated by government customers, to Senior Air and Space Force leadership.
