MPF Federal is seeking a Senior Succession Planner to contribute expertise to our development initiatives. You will be evaluating our business structures, advising management on the allocation of personnel and resources, and facilitating cost-effective and efficient procedures

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate approximately 600 courses/offerings/activities in the Career Development Mentoring Program, Leadership, Management and Supervisory, Diversity, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, and Organizational Development areas.
  • Utilize the theory and technology of applied behavioral sciences to improve the organization’s problem solving and processes within the Center, emphasizing competency[1]based development of individuals and teams as needed to support change-management initiatives development and the culture of effective work teams.
  • Manage, facilitate, mentor, provide leadership, coaching, communication and interpersonal skills development for employees at all levels based on results from development instruments (example -360’s, MBTI) that aid in individual development, competency mapping, career satisfaction, etc.
  • Develop, interpret, initiate and evaluate organization development and effectiveness programs; design systems; develop techniques; improve methodologies; and measure results to improve the effectiveness of managers and employees, and the quality of the Center's services.
  • Assess and analyze current decision-making processes, organizational structures, organizational environment (including the vision and purpose), alignment, personal mastery structure and conceptual framework, utilization of new technology, leadership styles, group behavior, and group/individual conflict, motivational processes. Develop process improvements and solutions and drive implementation methodologies; present recommendations verbally and/or in writing; and conduct follow-up for further study and action.
  • In conjunction with the Director, and the OD subject matter expert, design, present, and evaluate varied leadership, management and employee seminars, trainings, retreats, programs, and other activities focused on effectiveness, behavioral change, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills to allow for the transference of skill and knowledge to the work place.
  • Use standard and innovative leadership management consulting and intervention techniques such as: coaching, mentoring, survey/questionnaire instruments, interview techniques, and data collection/evaluation methods. Study, analyze, and evaluate a full range of the Center's organizations to develop specific techniques and long-term strategies to increase and improve organizational results which will prove to be cost effective and motivate personnel to the most optimum effective performance.
  • Utilize all available engagement technologies for virtual facilitation and large and small meetings, interventions, and events.
  • Provide professional leadership, executive, career, team and group coaching

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Master's degree in organizational psychology, organizational development, or business administration preferred.
  • A minimum of 10+ years' experience as an organizational development specialist in a related industry.
  • Federal government experience preferred
  • Must have experience with a large organization – 3000 or more employees
  • Extensive knowledge of skills development and capacity building strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in office and business administration software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Superb analytical and time-management skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and proof of full vaccination required
