Responsibilities

As a Senior Superintendent with Modern Constructors (an affiliate of Hines), you will oversee an assigned Modern Constructors' project and be responsible for coordinating field personnel, subcontractors and vendors in conjunction with the Construction Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Review plans and specs with Project Team, assist Project Managers with budgets and schedules and review jobsite logistics with the Superintendent
  • Provide historic data input on project Subcontractors
  • Provide critical path submittal review schedule
  • Provide insight for controlling costs relating to General Conditions
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance from month to month
  • Review monthly job cost data as well as assist Project Managers on cost projections
  • Assist in managing project costs to insure budgets are being met
  • Monitor project schedules and report status to Vice President of Construction
  • Review Safety Manual policies in pre-construction meeting with Subcontractors, construction procedures to insure job specifications are being met and project and weekly milestone schedules for each project
  • Foster a cooperative and informative relationship among the Construction team
  • Ensure working relationship with Management Team is being met
  • Develop relations with Building Officials and regulatory agencies as needed
  • Monitor all company safety policies and procedures and construction site to insure strict accordance with OSHA guidelines
  • Review safety assessments with Safety Director, and respond to items addressed on reports
  • Monitor construction progress and compliance with plans and specifications
  • Monitor punch lists and turnover of completed units to Management within schedule and quality standards required by Gables
  • Assist in resolving actual and potential cost problems with Subcontractors while insuring that the projects are being delivered according to the turnover schedule


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements include:


  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Building Science or engineering is preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required; High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ten or more years' experience as a Project Superintendent
  • Prior experience in garden-style multifamily family construction preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Procore
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compensation: $124,000 - $186,000; 10% Bonus Pool
