Description
SAIC is looking to fill a position in direct support of engineering serivces for our AEA IPT's 18G tasking. This postion is a Part Time Senior Systems Engineer with the option for remote support. This position is located at Point Mugu, CA.
The candidate will perform Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system op. performance analysis, Lifecycle logical and systematic conversion of product requirements for technical advancement of systems solutions. Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet Naval Aviation User needs.
Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
Required experience:
The prospect must be able to demonstrate recent experience (within the last 5 years) for:
- Variable Message Format utility with 3 protocol layers MIL-STD- 6017, MIL_STD_ 2045-47001, MIL-STD_188-220
- Full use of DACASS Variable Message Tool).
- Full use and interpretation of Protocol Analyzer.
- Fulluse and implementation of MIL-STD -1553 protocol.
- Full use and support of Desk Top Environment.
- Full use and navigation of F-18 UFC, DDI controller interface.
- Full operational use and concepts of employment of Link-16 Applications (all levels).
- Full use and interpretation of the F-18 ARC-210 interface protocol(s).
- Capability to generate plans & processes/procedures, conduct and report test results for ARC-210 sets.
Clearance requirement:
Must be able to meet the requirements for a (min) Secret DoD clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
