A rapidly growing CPA firm in New Jersey is looking to add an experienced Tax Accountant to their staff in a Senior position. In this role, the Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing Federal, State, and Local tax documents such as tax returns, extensions, and quarterly payments at an intermediate level to advanced level.

The Senior Tax Associate will:

• Prepare and review tax documents/forms
• Close the books of a company
• Maintain compliance and research issues involved in federal, state, and local tax planning projects
• Review tax information supplied by client and maintain relationship with client base
• Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, tax work, and wrap-up
• Manages multiple assignments inside an engagement
• Communicates with Partner, Manager and/or Supervising Senior on work status and client issues that arise

Requirements:

• 3+ years of related Public Tax experience, requirement
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, and/or a related field
• Intermediate to Advanced Experience with Corporate, Individual, Trust, Gifts, and Partnership Taxation
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Local Tax laws
• Microsoft Excel proficient, Quickbooks, CCH Prosystems
• Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills

• CPA License or on track to obtain

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
